Following the continuous intensification of reform of the economic system and further liberalization of foreign trade in China, foreign investment in China has grown rapidly and Hong Kong has been conveniently used as the gateway to Mainland China by foreign investors.

The China Affairs Department of the Firm handles all legal matters relating to the People's Republic of China.

The senior partner of the Firm is a China-Appointed Attesting Officer and acts for clients in attesting/certifying legal matters and documents in Hong Kong for use in China. The Firm has a representative office in Shanghai while at the same time maintaining a close working relationship with large and reputable PRC legal firms in various major cities of China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. With the additional capabilities of an office in Shanghai and the extensive network and experience, the Firm provides considerable assistance to clients who seek competent and efficient services in PRC legal matters and projects. In so far as commercial work is concerned, the Firm acts for clients of different sizes in establishing joint-ventures, wholly-owned foreign enterprises and representative offices in different regions of the PRC advising on various forms of co-operation agreements, loan transactions,  sale of property developments and  succession of property.  In respect of litigious matters, the Firm has wide experience in advising on contractual disputes, labour disputes, criminal matters and investigations by government authorities.
