The Lighter Side......

25 June 2008

The Grand Opening Day of Our New Office

.

Our Grand Opening Day can be best described by the Chinese saying Feng Sheng Shui Qi “ The wind gathers and the water rises”. The day was kicked off early in the morning by the surprise guest Fengshen “God of Wind” of the 8th degree, bringing us strong wind and pouring rain as signs of good fortune.

The Grand Opening of our new office was marked by the Roast Pig Cutting Ceremony by our Senior Partner Billy Kong together with our major partners Grace Chu, Johnny Fee and Lily Chang. The ceremony was well attended by our partners and colleagues despite the rather fierce weather conditions. What a true reflection of our never failing attitude!

In the afternoon, our firm hosted a cocktail reception for our guests. We were enormously gratified that so many of our guests came to our reception amidst the wind and the rain and showered us with congratulatory flowers. It was definitely a delightful evening for us and we trust our guests felt the same way too.

We also used the occasion for a charitable cause - raising funds for the victims of the Sichuan earthquake and we were deeply moved by the generosity of our guests who collectively donated sums to the region of HK$180,000. The donations have been sent to the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government.

25 June 2008 was undoubtedly an unforgettable day for all the partners and colleagues at our firm. It will remain our top priority to serve our clients in their best interests to reciprocate their continuous support to us.
